We’re building Holdfast because the personal-finance category was designed for people who already had it together. Most people don’t — and that gap is what we’re here to close.
Why
Calm beats clever.
Most money tools cheerlead. They celebrate, shame, or hand out generic advice in confident voices. None of that works for someone moving from financial crisis to stability. What works is clarity: knowing what’s actually happening, knowing the month walks day-by-day without going negative, knowing that no one is judging the numbers.
Holdfast is the product we wished existed when we needed it. It shows, organizes, and educates. It does not prescribe. That’s the entire pitch.
What we hold to

Numbers and patterns, not prescriptions. The user decides what to do; we make sure the picture is clear.
Sober, not solemn.
Plain English. No exclamation marks. No hype. Money is serious enough; the interface doesn’t need to add weight to it.
Privacy by design.
Your bank credentials never touch our servers. We don’t sell data. We don’t train AI on your transactions.
Built to last.
One subscription, fair pricing, no dark patterns. The founder rate is locked at $79/year for life because that’s the commitment we want to model.
